Dietary fiber found in vegetables is moist to the body and easiest to digest. It acts as a broom to the colon insuring that you clean the walls of the colon for a more thorough elimination.

But keep in mind, as your dietary fiber intake increases, your water intake will also have to increase to make sure your colon doesn’t become constipated.

If you’re looking to improve bowel function, slowly introduce more vegetables into your diet rather than jumping straight into an all-veg diet. Doing so might cause diarrhea as your body is finding it hard to adjust to your new routine.

During my nutritional consulting appointment we will discuss dietary changes specific to you and your unique health concerns to make you feel GREAT!! If you are interested in these services please give me a call to discuss scheduling an appointment 303-221-2621
